Gloucestershire Women 19 - 56 Buckinghamshrie Women

Updated: Aug 23, 2023

Massive 56-19 win for the women away against a spirited Gloucestershire.

A great performance and win by the women today.

Started very strongly with an early score. Lauren took a great catch just outside her 22, ran hard which was played out to the left wing for Caroline to run in.

Gloucestershire hit back with sustained pressure and good ball retention to make it 5-5.

Some great wing play from Bucks saw Amelia crossover for our 2nd try to make it 10-5.

A great kick through from Gloucestershire's winger saw a second try which was converted to make it 12-10 to the home side.

This gave the Bucks side a jolt and they came out flying. A wonderful hand-off from Caroline saw her grab her second.

Lauren finished off some great hands in the corner.

Chloe finished off the half with a pick and go from the scrum which Caroline converted.

Bucks went into half-time 27-12 up.

Some early pressure from the Bucks team put Gloucestershire on the back foot. The great work paid off with Amelia grab a second with a 40m run.

Gloucestershire again showed great resilience with another converted try making it 19-32.

Amy K crashed over from a few metres for another Bucks try.

Becky scored after some great team play with Shaniah scoring just after to make it 19-49.

A great kick from Heather saw Nicky through for another try which Caroline converted to make it 19-56.

Congratulations on a great win.

Looking forward to a massive match against Surrey next week.
