Bucks Referee Holly Wood appointed to first international match

Congratulation Holly

Holly played professional rugby for Harlequins and Toulouse before injury forced her to retire. Holly then took up the whistle in 2020 and a year later moved to Bucks when she joined the Buckinghamshire referee society.

In the 2021/22 season, Holly began officiating level 5 men’s and women’s premiership rugby. The society awarded Holly the most improved referee that year.

Holly is totally dedicated to her refereeing, refusing to tell the RFU she was pregnant to avoid her having any appointments taken away from her. On the 31st June Holly gave birth to her son and only weeks later was back refereeing again!!

On the 30th September 2023 Holly will take charge of her first international match, Scotland v Spain in Edinburgh

Buckinghamshire wish Holly every success and best wishes for her first International assignment.
