Buckinghamshire RFU are pleased to announce that from season
2025/6 our new Bucks RFU County Safeguarding Manager will be Jen
Lyons. Jen has been Club Safeguarding Officer for many years at High
Wycombe Rugby Club, she has extensive knowledge of the
Safeguarding role through both Club and School. Jen is looking
forward to carrying out the role with support from Bob Hardman to
ensure a smooth handover. This will ensure that that both children
and vulnerable adults safety remain a priority within our game. Our
clubs, the RFU and County wish to Thank Bob for all the hard work
and the effort he has put into the role, ensuring we are at the
forefront of Safeguarding nationally, something Jen is very keen to
continue.
Jen said: I’m really pleased to be stepping into the role of Bucks
Safeguarding Manager. It’s a very important role and one I’m proud
to take on. I want to say a huge thank you to Bob Hardman for the
incredible work he’s done over for so many years. His commitment,
care, and dedication have set a fantastic example, and he’s made a
real difference to safeguarding across Bucks. I know I’ve got some big
shoes to fill, but I’m looking forward to building on the great work
Bob has done and continuing to keep safeguarding at the heart of
what we do across all our clubs in the County”
