Bucks Age Grade Roles Available

Role Description:


Buckinghamshire RFU Age Grade Lead & Assistant Coach

Purpose: Lead the Representative Rugby Function for the allocated age grade squad.


To work with the allocated age group and its staff, primarily ensuring a positive rugby experience is facilitated for all players involved in the squad.


With the Programme Manager and Head Coach, to lead the group and ensure that the appropriate development takes place within pre set criteria as defined within your season coaching and playing plan.


Roles Available:


  • U18 Lead Coach

  • U17 Lead Coach

  • Age Group Assistant Coach x 2


As an age group LEAD COACH


  • To work with the coaching team coaches to set and maintain a realistic season development plan

  • Plan, lead and deliver training sessions with county squad

  • Ensure we field a side at the appropriate level and that the group are prepared to meet all their playing obligations during the season

  • Working with the coaching team build and manage a plan for development of assistant coaches

  • Help identify and provide player the opportunity to take part in representative rugby

  • Ensure that all player representing county have a positive and inspirational experience.

  • Develop and present a written end of season report to Head Coach, Management and Director of Rugby

 

As an ASSISTANCE COACH


  • Collaborate and support Age Group lead coach in the development and delivery of effective and inspirational training and development

  • Undertake post training and game analysis to development improvement plan for players and as coaching staff

  • Plan and deliver specific areas of training and player development in line with session and development plans

  • Proactively collaborate with Age Group lead, programme head coach and programme manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS:


Lead Coach: BROAD RANGE OF RUGBY EXPERIENCE; KNOWLEDGE OF THE WIDER RUGBY LANDSCAPE, QUALIFIED TO AT LEAST (or plan to achieve) LEVEL 2 IN COACHING. WILLINGNESS TO COMPLETE ALL PLAYER WELFARE COURSES AS INDICATED.

Assistant Coach: Experienced player or coach with aspiration to develop coaching skills and accreditations.

SELF-MOTIVATED, COMMITTED, ENTHUSIASTIC TO DEVELOPING THE RUGBY UNION GAME AND DEVELOPMENT OF PLAYERS, COACHING TEAMS

ABLE TO LEAD & MANAGE PEOPLE AND CREATE A POSITIVE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

BE PUNCTUAL, RELIABLE AND PERSONALLY WELL ORGANISED.

HAS ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH A BROAD RANGE OF PEOPLE.

KNOWLEDGE OF THE YOUTH GAME WITHIN BUCKS

SETS HIGH STANDARDS OF PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR BUCKINGHAMSHIRE RUGBY AND ACT AS A POSITIVE ROLE MODEL FOR THOSE THAT YOU COME INTO CONTACT WITH

ENSURE THAT WE EMBRACE DIVERSITY AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO ENSURE OUR GAME IS AS INCLUSIVE AS POSSIBLE
